Available as an over-the-counter treatment for patients with frequent heartburn that occurs 2 or more days a week.

One pill per day
Do not take for more than 14 consecutive days or more often than every 4 months, unless directed by a doctor¹
If symptoms get worse or persist for more than 2 weeks, advise patients to consult their physician¹
Should symptoms recur after 4 months, patients may restart a further treatment course. Patients should be advised to consult their doctor if they had heartburn for over 3 months¹

Patients with frequent heartburn may benefit from a PPI such as Nexium 24HR to give the esophagus a break from acid and reduce sensitivity^2,3
