Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel Toothpaste

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel toothpaste for sensitive teeth and enamel strength

Strengthen Enamel and Relieve Sensitivity, with Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel

Up to 2 in 3 Australian’s suffer from dentine hypersensitivity, a condition which can be caused by enamel wear1,2. Over time, the erosion of enamel can expose underlying dentine, leading to dentine hypersensitivity2,3.

Everyday dietary acids from common foods and beverages can soften enamel, making it more susceptible to wear4. Many modern diets, even those focused on healthy eating, are high in acids, further contributing to this issue5.

Recommending a toothpaste that promotes enamel remineralisation can help strengthen enamel and provide greater protection against acid erosion6.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel is dual action toothpaste that helps strengthen enamel from the first use17, while providing proven protection against dentine hypersensitivity.

Sensitivity & Enamel:

  • Is specially designed to increase fluoride uptake
  • Promotes greater remineralisation, deep within the enamel surface
  • Results in enamel that is stronger, harder and up to 50% more resistant to future acid attacks21-23*

*Compared to non-fluoride optimised toothpaste

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has been formulated to increase fluoride uptake*

Certain ingredients found in toothpaste formulas can interfere with fluoride’s protective action7,8. Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has been specially formulated without ingredients that can hinder the remineralisation of enamel.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel is formulated WITHOUT:

  • Polyvalent metal ions (directly binds to fluoride9,10)
  • SLS (binds to the enamel surface, reducing fluoride uptake11-14)
  • Polyphosphates (interfere with the remineralisation process15,16)

Low abrasion formulation helps reduce further wear from brushing

Acid-softened enamel is more prone to abrasion compared to normal enamel18 and an abrasive toothpaste can cause further damage.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has a low abrasion† formulation which helps limit wear of acid-softened enamel.

The abrasivity of toothpaste is measured using RDA values. The RDA value interpretation indicates:19

  • Low abrasive paste has an RDA of <70
  • Moderate abrasive paste may be in the range of 70-150
  • High abrasive paste may be in the range of 151-250
  • The ADA defines the upper limit for safe daily use at 25019

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has a low RDA value of 37 + 0.1520

excludes whitening variant(P=<0.001)
