Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has been formulated to increase fluoride uptake*

Certain ingredients found in toothpaste formulas can interfere with fluoride’s protective action^7,8. Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has been specially formulated without ingredients that can hinder the remineralisation of enamel.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel is formulated WITHOUT:

Polyvalent metal ions (directly binds to fluoride^9,10)
SLS (binds to the enamel surface, reducing fluoride uptake^11-14)
Polyphosphates (interfere with the remineralisation process^15,16)

Low abrasion^† formulation helps reduce further wear from brushing

Acid-softened enamel is more prone to abrasion compared to normal enamel¹⁸ and an abrasive toothpaste can cause further damage.

Sensodyne Sensitivity & Enamel has a low abrasion† formulation which helps limit wear of acid-softened enamel.

The abrasivity of toothpaste is measured using RDA values. The RDA value interpretation indicates:¹⁹

Low abrasive paste has an RDA of <70
Moderate abrasive paste may be in the range of 70-150
High abrasive paste may be in the range of 151-250
The ADA defines the upper limit for safe daily use at 250¹⁹
