Posology
Nasal sprays containing eucalyptol and menthol are available in combination with other ingredients such as xylometazoline or natural saline.
When in combination with xylometazoline, such nasal sprays should be administered 2-3 times daily, 1 spray per nostril at a time, and should not be used more often than every 8 hours.4
When in combination with seawater, such nasal sprays may be administered up to 6 times daily per nostril.7

According to Burrow’s study (1983)14, after exposure to menthol & eucalyptus, the majority of subjects reported a cool sensation on nasal aspiration. This sensation was reported by all subjects after exposure to menthol and was generally reported to be a pleasant sensation of cool airflow. An increased sensation of nasal airflow was reported after exposure to eucalyptus and menthol.3 3
