According to Burrow’s study (1983)14, after exposure to menthol, the majority of subjects reported a cool sensation on nasal aspiration. This sensation was reported by all subjects after exposure to menthol and was generally reported to be a pleasant sensation of cool airflow. An increased sensation of nasal airflow was reported after exposure to menthol.3
