NovaMin formulations build a hydroxyapatite-like layer sensitivity prone areas of the tooth
NovaMin is specially formulated in Sensodyne Repair & Protect to provide lasting tooth protection:*1–7
- Once in contact with saliva, NovaMin initiates a cascade of ionic exchanges
- This results in a rise in pH level in the localised environment, which allows NovaMin to bind to collagen fibres on the tooth
- Once bound to these areas, NovaMin particles act as calcium and phosphate reservoirs, forming a robust hydroxyapatite-like layer over tooth to help protect against hypersensitivity
