Voltaren Rapid product details

  • 12.5 mg film-coated tablet contains: 12.5 mg diclofenac potassium per tablet. Contains: lactose.

    12.5 mg liquid capsule contains 12.5 mg diclofenac potassium per liquid capsule.

    25 mg sugar-coated tablet contains: 25 mg diclofenac potassium per sugar-coated tablet. Contains sugars.

  • Tablets or liquid capsules should be swallowed whole with a drink of water. Take the tablets on an empty stomach (at least half an hour before food or two hours after food).

    They will work more quickly if you take them on an empty stomach.

    If they upset your stomach, take the tablets with food.

    Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets and Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets and liquid capsules are intended for short-term use. Do not use for more than a few days at a time. 

    Adults and children aged 14 years and over

    12.5 mg film-coated tablet: Initially two tablets, followed by one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. No more than six tablets (75 mg) should be taken in any 24-hour period.

    12.5 mg liquid capsule: Initially two liquid capsules, followed by one or two liquid capsules every 4 to 6 hours as needed. No more than six liquid capsules (75 mg) should be taken in any 24-hour period.

    25 mg sugar-coated tablet: Adults: two tablets initially then 1-2 tablets every 8 hours as necessary. No more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. Ages 14-17: 1-2 tablets initially then 1 tablet every 8 hours as necessary. No more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.

    Children and adolescents aged below 14 years

    Do not use Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets or Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets and liquid capsules in children under 14 years.
